I have seen your advertisement for the job online.  Personally think that I have the skills to be able to be a successful part of your design team.

  I have skills in programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Dream Weaver and a basic knowledge in motion and final cut pro but I would like to explore these programs further.

 Also specialize in corporate identities and advertising. I would also like to create a portfolio that combines a mixture of work from every design background. I also think that your design company can provide me with an outstanding range of work and design opportunities.

I think that I could offer a lot to the company as I am keen and able to work as a group easily and I am confident in speaking in front of large amounts of people, my skills can only progress and get better.

I also think that I am the right person for the job due to my background knowledge of exhibitions and designing exhibition pieces.

my favorite 5 researched designed companies

Milton Glaser
1. Milton Glazers design company is a well renowned company that started in 1974 and is still running today and producing some of the best designs ever seen within the design world. The company produces designs that use strong illustrative elements and also strong thought processed elements such as his well renowned I love new york logo. The reason that I would like to work for his design agency is because they use the elements of design that I love, such as illustration and typography.

The Chase
2.The chase would be my second choice due to its amazing design it uses simple techniques and powerful two in one images to communicate there corporate identity designs. The reason I think that this design agency would be a good choice for me is because they use the elements of design that I prefer.

RAW design studio
3. raw design studio is a fantastic studio that specializes in all the different aspects of design and they have also done collaboration work with one of my favorite illustrators Jon Burgerman.
The reason that this design company attracts me is because it uses a lot of illustration in its work and also uses typography and these are the two parts of design that enjoy the most.

Cube
4. The cube would be another one of my choices bases in manchester it has a renowned set of work and also has been voted the 53 rd best design company and is a ten year establishment.
they create everything from advertising to photography.

Jon Burgernan
5. John burgerman is one of my favorite, if not my favorite designer he has some amazing illustration designs that a done purely doodling and I have emulated his work by creating a magazine design all about him and what he does. Thats why I would like to work for him due to his quirky designs and different approach to illustration.

Type fundamentals

What went well?

Whilst working on Jenna’s work I found it great. I like typography anyway so when it came to these tasks I tried but I should have tried harder because I know if I would have put my mind to it I could have achieved a first or a very high two one grade. I think I didn’t try as hard because I had already done all of these things at college and it wasn’t anything new.

What Didn’t…

I thought that the whole module as a whole didn’t go to baldy but I think that I should have tried harder. I thought that I could have defiantly improved some of my tasks such as my typographic laptop design.

How could I improve?

I could improve by organising myself better.

Image manipulation non-digital

Whilst drawing in these classes I learnt a lot I thought I knew how to draw but this module showed me how to draw with precision instead of guessing.

What didn’t?  - How could I improve.

I should have organised myself better by organising all of my pictures better because some of my drawings got lost which brought my grade down.

Image Development  (digital)  What didn’t go well

During image development I didn’t really enjoy it that much I thought that I did well in the Moodle avatar task but during the scale task I completely failed I didn’t try at all and left it until the last second.

I could have improved my work if I would had organised myself better and tried harder.
